Situated in the beautiful Far North Coast region of NSW just 14 kms inland from Byron Bay in the village of Bangalow. The gallery has been part of the main street since 1994 and has enjoyed witnessing the visible change in the little town as a result of the main highway bypass in 1994.
The village now entertains a multitude of visitors at the many coffee shops and cafes, who seemingly enjoy browsing in the main street among the delightful and interesting little shops.
The village also retains its soul as a working centre for the many outlying farms and country businesses which distinguishes it from a purely tourist destination. Bangalow has a proud heritage of people on the land and a recent integration with many who wish to relocate and be a part of that heritage.
Barebones Art Space also enjoys involvement with the rural community in the town and that in itself gives a vibrancy to the little gallery. Barebones has exhibited the works of many artists in the region with a special interest in original prints – there is always a fine display of etchings.
We have a large range of etchings, original prints, paintings and sculpture. Please visit us soon …
